I aim to incorporate this into my Solar System include. The idea is that the
amount of snowfall and sea level is changes with the planet's incidence with
respect to the system sun. I trawled the web for some solar functions and was
having difficulty implementing them when I last was working on the project.

Also, none of the textures take rainfall into account when determining how
"green" a pigment is. Only altitude is taken into account. This also goes for
rivers (which are only at sea level where they come into contact with the sea).
I'm not sure how to go about doing this. My guess is that I would need to create
a pattern function that takes another pattern as input and measures somehow the
distance from the sea.
